Are YOU Interested in teaching Physical Culture

We are always looking for girls and ladies who are interested in teaching physical culture.  There are opportunities for relief teaching or assisting an established club by taking on one or two age groups or for starting a new club.9191_2_sm

  Essential Requirements for teaching physical culture are commitment, reliability, able to communicate with all age groups and a sound knowledge of physical culture (not restricted to WZ).  It would be preferred if those interested had more than 2 years experience in physical culture.

2009 Competition Results

The 2009 Heats and Teams competitions were held on 12th, 19th and 26th September at St. Clair Recreation Centre, St. Clair.  341 members competed resulting in 199 Finalists.

Our clubs were able to enter 40 teams in 2009, the clubs who achieved first place were:

7-8 years (5 teams)

The Oaks

9-12 years (13 teams)

Cambridge Gardens

13-16 years (4 teams)

Cranebrook

Seniors (9 teams)

Cranebrook

Ladies Mixed (7 teams)

Cranebrook

Ladies A Grade (2 teams)

Riverlands

TThe Grand Final was held on Saturday 31st October at the Hills Centre, Castle Hill.

The 2009 Champion of Champions is Hayley Lean, this is the fourth time Hayley has taken out this highly coveted award.  Hayley is an Advanced Senior from Cranebrook and won first place in her section and the Senior Champion Award.  Hayley has been doing physical culture with WZ for 21 years and is a teacher at Cranebrook.  Hayley co-teaches the Performance Group which involves choreographing the routine and teaching the girls.  Congratulations Hayley on this achievement.
